Luhacovice makes a perfect base for exploring the beautiful region of
Southern Moravia. A short list of only the most popular nearby
attractions includes:
The chateau, park and Zoo at Lesna. A fairytale castle surrounded
by an
English park can be toured; the local Zoo is popular especially with young
visitors.
The UNESCO-listed Lednice / Valtice complex includes two castles,
an immense
landscaped park, and dozens of romantic structures scattered throughout
the
area — gazeboes, temples, and pavilions.
The Valasske Open-Air Museum is the oldest in the country, and
offers
countless fine examples of wooden folk architecture and interiors,
demonstrations of traditional crafts and customs, and in the summer a
variety of special events.
The Kromeriz Archbishop's Palace and Gardens also made it to the
UNESCO
list of World Cultural Heritage Sites. Stunningly beautiful especially in
the summer.
The chateaux at Vizovice and Boskovice are two more examples
of splendid
historical buildings you can easily visit while in Luhacovice.
